Fused Glass Family Plate, 2005

This fused glass plate was commissioned as a gift. The design is based on Australian Aboriginal art.

This plate depicts the client and her child in the centre of the meeting place surrounded by the rest of her immediate family. The small pieces of orange glass around the edge of the platter echo the Aboriginal dot painting technique. The images in the centre were created using kiln carving techniques.
