Fused Glass Sunflowers Panel for a
Front Door, Betchworth, Surrey 2008
This sunflowers panel was made using the finest quality fusible
glass. It is 6mm thick and 9mm where the sunflowers are making
it perfect for a small front door panel as it is very strong.
The layers have been built up with 4 separate firings at
different temperatures. Between the background layers we created
light blue bubbles over which we layered fine blue powders
to create the sky. The sunflowers were then fused at a lower
temperature to 'tack fuse' them on and create the beautiful
edges which catch the light and shine.
The guide price for a piece of fused art glass such as this
230mm x 320 mm is between £140-£180 depending
on design.
