This oak tree panel is made
using traditional stained glass techniques of
cutting, painting and leading. The panel has
then been encapsulated into a sealed unit.
The window is set into an
opening in the apex of a new extension in an
ancient house in Sussex. I had the pleasure
of working with the customers on the restoration
of the house last year, making some new diamond
leaded panels for the front of the house.
This oak tree and sunrise
piece was made to the customers specification's
and with their essential input on colour choice.
It glows with the early morning sun.

Glass pieces cut to shape before leading.
The dark blobs are plasticene holding the pieces
on the studio window.
