Stairwell Birds and Swirls

Encapsulated Stained Glass Window

The four little birds represent the family. These are cut in mouth blown glass. The border is made using a highly textured glass which catches the light here beautifully. The swirls are painted and fired in the kiln. Those long leaves are cut in a gorgeous old glass with a flowery texture called Murranese. This was the prefect project it had been waiting for all these years!
